Dr. Marchant Received Prize for Best Short Film

Dr. Linda F. Marchant, Professor of Anthropology at Miami University (Ohio, USA), has won a national award from the Society of Visual Anthropology. Her video, Chimpanzee grooming as social custom in Mahale Mountains National Park, Tanzania, won the 2000 Prize for Best Short Film. The award was presented on 15 November, 2000, in the Film, Video and Interactive Media Festival, at the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association, in San Francisco.
